What originally started as a weekly Saturday night club in Liverpool in 1992 is now one of the world’s best known and most successful clubbing brands. Although Cream still hold club nights at their base in Liverpool they now also release records, tour the world with the Cream brand, hold a summer sell-out residency in Ibiza and organise Creamfields, the biggest dance music festival in the UK. We first started working with the Cream Group when we won the pitch to deliver the campaign for Creamfields 2009. Since the success of that campaign we’ve gone on to work with them on numerous projects. Featured here are our Creamfields campaigns for 2009 and 10, and our promotional campaigns for their sell-out ‘special’ nights they run at Nation and their Cream Tours.

In late 2008 we were appointed to deliver a multi-channel campaign for Creamfields 2009 which was delivered across print, press, outdoor and online and ran for six months. The campaign was an undisputed success. The festival sold out for the first time, attracting 60,000 attendees – an incredible achievement given the economic climate. Cream were so pleased that they commissioned us to deliver the Creamfields 2010 campaign – and we became the first agency in the festival’s history to be appointed two years in succession. The 2010 campaign, which built on the creative established in 2009, proved to be equally successful and again delivered a sell-out festival for our clients. www.creamfields.com

A regular fixture on the Cream calendar is the sell-out ‘special’ nights they run at Nation, their base in Liverpool. These take place in October (to mark their birthday), on Boxing Day and on Easter Monday. For each event we produce a print and press campaign based around a striking visual interpretation of the iconic Cream logo. Featured here are some recent campaigns.

Due to popular demand the Cream experience is touring the country with Cream Anthems, Classics and Trance available at a club venue near you. To help them on their way, we were asked to design a distinctive treatment of the brand logo to represent each of the three tours, which was then rolled out across flyers, e-flyers, posters and online banners.
