From humble beginnings in 1989 Bench has grown to become one of the most widely recognised global fashion brands with a network of stores around the world and many more outlets through major retail chains.

To celebrate this success and over twenty years of the brand’s history Bench appointed us to create a video showreel and accompanying book. Both the showreel and the book are packaged in a custom box along with samples of Bench clothing. The package will be used by the International sales team to help win new business.

For the showreel we have used archive images, artwork and video clips overlaid with graphics to create an animated two-minute montage. Meanwhile the 24 page case-bound book contains spreads influenced by the video and additional sales and product information.

Emily Frazer, International Marketing Manager at Bench said: “Having worked with Corporation Pop on a number of projects including several campaign videos, they were a natural choice for this project. Over the course of four weeks, Corporation Pop were efficient, forward thinking and kept communications clear and frequent, making sure we were informed fully through every step of the process. The finished products looked great and were a brilliant asset to the brand to use internationally, and we will definitely be working with them again in the future.”

Its a little late in the day but we thought you’d like to know about a campaign we delivered last month for Deadmau5. In an English festival exclusive for 2011 LED (London Electronic Dance Festival) presented a one day festival in London’s Victoria Park which featured the world famous house music artist, producer and DJ. We produced all the campaign collateral which included animated web banners, press advertising, flyers, posters and in-store animated videos for the HMV chain. This follows our successful campaign for the first LED Festival which we delivered last year. View the in-store video.

Chirstmas has come early for ASDA this year as we’ve produced a ‘look book’ showcasing their new 2011 Christmas range. The book was launched at the RSA Vaults in London on Tuesday 6th July and is a lavish 64pp case-bound production using holographic glitter and gun-metal foils, a green ribbon page marker and has a credit card usb stick (containing hi-res images of the products) housed in a wallet on the cover. The cover features a prominent ASDA snowglobe Christmas decoration which (in the absence of a real one) we modelled in Maya.

Beyond showcasing the products the book also introduces some of the producers behind the artisan cheeses, fine wines, meat and produce in store this year. As part of the campaign we also produced an invite to the launch and e-shot which was sent out to journalists.

Christmas has come early at Corporation Pop with the news that, following a three way pitch, we’ve been appointed by Cream Group to deliver the online and offline campaign for Creamfields 2011. Creamfields is the UK’s biggest dance music festival, which attracted capacity crowds of around 60,000 across the bank holiday weekend.

This will be the third campaign that we’ve produced for the group having also delivered Creamfields 2009 and 2010. Not only are we the only agency in the history of the festival to be re-appointed for successive campaigns but we’re also very proud that the 2009 and 2010 festivals were both sell-outs. In fact Creamfields 2010 was the fastest selling festival in the event’s 13 year history – selling out weeks before the event.

This year’s campaign will launch in March 2011 and roll out across a range of online and offline media between then and August 2011. We’re very excited about the creative approach (though sorry we can’t unveil it yet!) and are confident that it will contribute to another very successful year for the festival.

LATEST (28.02.11): We’ve just heard that following a three way pitch we’ve been appointed by Cream Group to deliver this summer’s Cream Ibiza campaign which will run between now and August across press, print and outdoor advertising, both in the UK and in Ibiza.

Textile recycling company I&G Cohen asked us to redesign their collection bags to entice six million households across the UK to donate clothing for Action for Children.

In response we created a bright, illustration-based clothing collections bag to raise awareness of the charity among families. Children can have a huge influence on whether their parents take part in clothing donations, so this became the focus of our concept, which uses a ‘coloured-in’ crayon typographic message in the shape of a t-shirt.

I&G Cohen offers kerbside collection services to charities as part if its Care2Collection scheme. It collects and recycles 300 tonnes of second hand clothing per week, avoiding landfill and textile waste.

We’re currently mid way through rolling out an online and print campaign for London Electronic Dance Festival (LED Festival). The festival, which is being promoted by AEG Live UK, a world-leading sports and entertainment presenter, takes place on Friday 27 and Saturday 28th August in Hackney’s Victoria Park. The campaign hopes to drive 50,000 people to the two-day event, which aims to become a major heavyweight dance show on the Summer festival calendar. The line-up includes David Guetta and legendary pioneers of electronica, Leftfield.

It’s great to be working on a major London festival event and a real coup that AEG Live UK has chosen to work with a Manchester-based company. Our long track record of working with major music and entertainment industry clients has obviously stood us in good stead. We hope our design approach will help to deliver a sell-out festival for them and we look forward to being there to witness the stunning line-up.

Our branding for the event was signed off back in March and the website is now live. The press campaign is running from now right up to the event in national media. We’ll also be producing all other campaign marketing collateral between now and August.

Following a four-way pitch, we are very proud to announce that we have been appointed to develop the national campaign for Creamfields 2010. The campaign will be promoted throughout the UK using a variety of tools including posters, press ads, flyers and online marketing.

Having delivered the Creamfields 2009 campaign this makes us the first agency in the history of the festival to lead the Creamfields campaign two years in a row. This year’s campaign will build on the distinctive graphics we delivered last year and we hope will help deliver another sell-out festival for our clients.

Laura Buckley, Senior Marketing Manager, at The Cream Group said: “We’re all really excited to be working with Corporation Pop again. It’s great to be able to develop an already strong working relationship. Their professional approach, attention to detail, commitment and creativity makes them an absolute pleasure to deal with.”

The campaign will go live in the Spring and run for six months.

Creamfields 2010 takes place across August Bank Holiday Weekend, on 28 and 29 August in Daresbury, Cheshire.

For last years campaign click here.

Its been two years since we won the pitch for this contract but we’re now proud to announce the release of a new sales presenter for hi-tech manufacturer Tygavac. They’ll be using the presenter to attract some of the world’s leading Formula 1, aerospace, wind energy and marine manufacturers to Tygavac’s range of vacuum bag materials.

A combination of high spec materials and processes have been used to create a custom-made sales presenter, holding more than 200 data sheets and 35 product swatches to showcase Tygavac’s world leading product range. The swatches range from breather foams at 3mm thick, to incredibly thin films and fabrics, all of which had to be secured into place and labelled. Each sample has been individually glued into position, heat-welded between two sheets of grey PVC which have then been screen-printed. 1,000 copies have been produced, which has involved the hand cutting and gluing of 35,000 individual samples.

This has been one of the print team’s most intricate and challenging design projects of the year. Combining cutting-edge techniques and materials with a meticulous hand finish has been vital to ensure the end result reflected the brand and product line. Tygavac’s offering is all about high performance and hi-tech materials so lasting first impressions are absolutely essential.

As part of London Design Festival Greengaged recently ran a competition offering two lucky designers the opportunity to take part in a one day letterpress workshop, run by Alex Cooper and Ross Gridneff of (the aptly named) Workshop in Hackney… and Matt Mear, one of our print design team, was lucky enough to win!

Matt spent the day with fellow attendees working collaboratively to produce a two colour poster which will be printed in a limited edition of 500 and given away at the Crafting Mass Production event on September 24th. Attending the workshop alongside Matt were Natt Hunter (Airside), Anna Gerber, Sara De Bondt, Anna Fidalgo, Crispin Finn, Sanky Sankarayya (All of Us), Lawrence Zeegan and fellow competition winner Holly Webber.

Matt had this to say: ‘I really enjoyed the whole process and appreciated learning a new skill from experts in the field. From proofing, cutting, pasting, overlaying to making a print on the press, letterpressing by it’s very nature makes you slow down and really think about what you’re designing.’

Here’s Matt getting to grips with letterpress:
